AT&T's LTE network pushes the envelope at Texas lab

AT&T reportedly showed off some speedy results last week in a demonstration of its planned Long-Term Evolution network at its laboratory in Plano, Texas. Engineers demonstrated speeds of 28.87 megabits per second downstream and 10.4 Mbps upstream. In other AT&T news, the Rural Cellular Association has protested the carrier's bid to acquire two more licenses in the 700 MHz band.
