CFOs plan to spend excess cash, study finds

Fifty-four percent of global chief financial officers say their companies will increase spending on business development and sales in the next year, according to a survey by American Express. About 70% said they plan to use spare cash for mergers and acquisitions, and 63% of respondents said they expect to pay off debt.
