McCann New York is tapped for Weight Watchers' social account

Weight Watchers is assigning its social marketing to McCann Erickson New York after a review of 10 agencies, citing McCann's "advanced understanding of how social media can help further build consumer engagement." McCann, which has been Weight Watchers' creative agency since 2007, now becomes the company's first agency of record for social media.
