Calif. city council gets recommendations on mixed-use project

The South Lake Tahoe, Calif., City Council will review a plan for partial completion of The Chateau at Heavenly Village. The project, worth more than $400 million, is meant to include a hotel, condominiums and a convention center. Construction permits are set to expire in July. If approval is obtained, work could resume by summer, with this portion of the project finished next year.
