China builds -- a lot -- in America

China Construction America, a subsidiary of state-owned China Construction Engineering, has been building projects in the U.S. for nearly 30 years. Its work includes several schools in South Carolina; the $407 million rehabilitation project of the Alexander Hamilton Bridge in New York; and the $66 million Yankee Stadium Train Station, also in New York. In addition, other Chinese companies, many state owned, are buying American concerns. In 2012, the Chinese invested $6.5 billion in the U.S.
