Ill. publishes recommended statewide math curriculum

Illinois middle and high schools are being urged to adopt a new math curriculum released by Lt. Gov. Sheila Simon and the Illinois State Board of Education. The new curriculum, designed by a state Math Curriculum Task Force, is aligned with the common core and aims to reduce the number of students who take remedial math in college.
