More young adults seek cosmetic procedures

The number of Botox procedures performed on people in their 20s was 8% higher in 2012 than 2011, and the growth rate in 20-somethings seeking dermal fillers was even higher, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Minimally invasive procedures can stave off signs of aging, but plastic surgeons warn patients not to start too early. "Don't start treating wrinkles for fear of developing wrinkles," said plastic surgeon and ASPS President-elect Robert Murphy.
