N.C. bill offers incentives to bring grocers to food deserts

North Carolina lawmakers are considering a bill that would offer tax incentives to grocery stores that open in food-desert neighborhoods and help promote sales of locally grown produce. "We want to have affordable access to fresh produce and vegetables and even protein, healthy foods," said bill sponsor Rep. Yvonne Holley.
