Review links child abuse to obesity in adulthood

Child abuse and neglect were associated with a 36% increased risk of obesity in later years, according to an analysis in Molecular Psychiatry. Researchers did not find a causal relationship between the conditions, but stated that depression may play a role in obesity onset in those who were abused as children.
