Study: Quickservice consumers underestimate calorie counts

Diners often underestimate the number of calories in their quickservice meals, according to a 2010-2011 study of 3,400 adults, teens and parents at 89 quickservice restaurants including McDonald's, Burger King, KFC, Subway, Dunkin' Donuts and Wendy's. A quarter of participants misjudged by 500 calories or more.
