Syrian opposition leader says Assad must step down to speed transition

Syrian opposition leader Moaz Alkhatib says that President Bashar al-Assad should step down to open the way for a transitional government. The opposition also says Iranian and Hezbollah fighters supporting the government need to leave Syria. Meanwhile, about 8,000 Syrians are formally seeking asylum in Libya.
