TARP bailout will cost $21B, CBO says

The Troubled Asset Relief Program will end up costing $21 billion, the Congressional Budget Office says. That's $3 billion less than estimated last October and far less than the $700 billion once predicted. The federal government made $25 billion with its support for banks, in addition to $8 billion in profit from supporting just Citigroup and Bank of America.
