U.S. commerce secretary nominee faces questions on bank failure

President Barack Obama's nominee for commerce secretary, Chicago billionaire Penny Pritzker, will be questioned by Republican members of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee about the collapse of a bank she ran and personal investments held in offshore trusts. "My guess is that if she performs well, she'll have a lot of support from Democrats and some Republicans," said Sen. John Thune, the senior Republican on the committee.
