Wal-Mart taps into mobile apps to aid in-store shoppers

Wal-Mart has turned to big data to create personalized shopping lists for in-store buyers via its mobile application. That is among the steps the retailer is taking to stay on top of the trend of consumers using their smartphones to influence their in-store choices, an executive said at an industry event on Wednesday.
