Georgia Schools Apply Tough Rules On Absenteeism

The state's education reform team reportedly is applying additional pressure on schools to encourage students to attend classes. Under new criteria implemented yesterday, three-fourths of high schools and about half of middle schools would receive an "unacceptable" grade on their report cards for absenteeism.
