Design solution takes crunch out of left-turn intersections

With expanded roadways and more turning lanes, the three or four little lights on traffic signals need to multitask more than ever. One intersection design that offers a helpful solution is the quadrant roadway intersection, which removes left turns from the main intersection and adds roadway in one intersection quadrant, allowing left turns to be moved from the main intersection.
