Higher risk for preterm birth is seen in women who were born early

Scottish researchers found that women who were born early are 60% more likely to give birth to a preterm baby in their first pregnancy compared with women who were born full-term. The researchers said they found the same result in women who were not born early but who had one or more siblings born preterm.
