Insurer group tells hospitals to improve quality of care

The Health Services Coalition, made up of 24 self-funded insurance plans, told 13 acute-care hospitals in the Las Vegas area to improve their quality of care or risk losing their business. The coalition also wants to change the payment system to reimburse hospitals based on quality of care and patient outcomes.
