Near-collisions prompt FAA review of ATC training, procedures

Major airports around the country have seen a spike in near-collisions in midair, forcing a broad review of air-traffic control training and procedures. "We began to see more events than I was comfortable seeing," says FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt, referring to the roughly half-dozen incidents reported in the last two months.
