Popcorn company is now run by a fifth generation

C. Cretors & Co., which patented the first popcorn machine in 1893, is still in business, with Andrew Cretors, the great-great-grandson of founder Charles Cretors, at the helm as president. The company, with about 70 employees, makes the equipment used to create and warm popcorn and other concession-stand fare, and also supplies the popcorn machines for Cracker Jack and other brands.
