Tennessee flooding underscores need for NFIP extension

The recent flooding that severely affected Nashville, Tenn., will likely prod Congress to pass measures proposed by House Financial Services Committee Chairman Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., and Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., that seek to extend the National Flood Insurance Program, say experts. Both bills gained support from PCI and other insurance trade groups.
