Firms struggle to hire financial advisers

Investment companies want to hire more financial advisers but don't have enough applicants with the positive attitudes they need. "They see a deficient passion for the industry," said Caleb Brown, managing partner of New Planner Recruiting. Applicants are demanding too much money and being less than candid about their experience, he said.
