Mississippi county may convert sheriff's fleet to propane vehicles

Pearl River County, Miss., is considering a conversion of its sheriff's department fleet to propane autogas-powered vehicles through a federal grant, said county Supervisor J. Patrick Lee. "We are looking into it, and there seems there would be a good bit of savings," Lee said. The department would earn 50 cents in rebates for each gallon of propane, Lee added.
