Tablets pull ahead of smartphones for shopping

About 10% of tablet owners report using their devices to shop, topping the 6% of smartphone users who report similar usage for their phones. Research by the e-tailing group, an e-commerce consultancy, also found tablet users more likely to make purchases, with nearly 1 in 4 saying their had bought at least six items in the past six months, beating the 15% rate for smartphone owners.
