DISH, networks file competing lawsuits over ad-skipping feature

DISH is going head to head with CBS, Fox and NBC in court over its new Auto Hop DVR feature, which allows subscribers to skip advertising during prime-time shows. The networks are suing DISH for copyright infringement and breach of license agreement. DISH also filed its own lawsuit Thursday seeking a declaratory judgment that Auto Hop does not violate copyrights.
