Forget mom and dad: Young entrepreneur moves in with AOL to save money

Eric Simons spent two months living at AOL's campus in Palo Alto, Calif., to save money and focus on building his education-focused startup ClassConnect. Simons started using the building as a member of the Imagine K12 incubator, and after the program ended, the badge he had been given still worked. So he stuck around, working until midnight or later every day, then sleeping on a couch until 7 a.m. or 8 a.m. "It was always our intention to facilitate entrepreneurialism in the Palo Alto office -- we just didn't expect it to work so well," AOL's David Temkin said.
