American Airlines adds self-tagging bag service at Miami airport

American Airlines fliers at Miami International Airport can now self-tag their checked bags. To use the system, passengers check in at a self-service kiosk and print a bag tag, then attach the tag to the bag and drop luggage off at a designated location. Customer-service personnel are available near the kiosks to assist. "Self-tagging brings us one step closer to a modernized, efficient new American by offering our customers more choices along their journey and more ways to customize their travel experience," said Marilyn DeVoe, American's vice president-Miami, in a statement.
