Bankers urge implementation of European banking union

Bankers are calling on officials to accelerate a plan to develop a banking union in Europe. "We understand that the process may be frustrating for the market, but for European standards, we are moving very fast," said Benoit Coeure of the European Central Bank. "The creation of a banking union is as important as the establishment of the creation of the single currency."
