How to be the coach your employees need

Coaching doesn't mean telling people how to solve their problems, writes Dan McCarthy. The real aim is to give workers the skills they need to find and implement their own solutions. "We all like to be advice columnists when it comes to other people's problems. The problem is, when you don't give employees the opportunity to solve their own problems, they don't develop," McCarthy writes.
