Obama nominates successors for 2 SEC commissioners

President Barack Obama has nominated Kara Stein, an aide to Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., and Michael Piwowar, an economist for the Senate banking committee, to serve on the Securities and Exchange Commission. If approved by the Senate, the two will replace Elisse Walter, whose term has ended, and Troy Paredes, whose term expires in June.
