Why Google's developers sweat the small stuff

The team that developed Google's mobile mapping software held daily all-hands meetings at which even the tiniest design elements and features were pored over and considered from every possible angle, says team leader Daniel Graf. Those daily sessions were a lot of work but paid off in the final product. "At first you might think, what a waste of time. But that hour a day is the reason why ... the product seems so polished," Graf says.
