Philly skyscraper to reflect new age of building design

The design process of Philadelphia's first new skyscraper in more than a decade reflects big changes in skyscraper development that were brought on by the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Security-related design concepts in the 32-story, 735,000-square-foot Cira Centre included moving underground parking to above ground, and adding "military grade protection" to the building's loading docks.
