Report to detail health insurers' bill-paying habits

Claims-processing company Athenahealth is due to release a report detailing how well the nation's seven largest health insurers pay their bills. The survey is said to provide the most comprehensive look at the bill-paying habits of the nation's health care system, and it comes as many health care providers complain that late payment or refusal to pay claims adds 15% to 20% in overhead costs for their practices.
