U.S. exchanges losing out on big global IPOs

The U.S. attracted just one in 10 of the biggest global initial public offerings in 2005, which is a complete reversal from 2005 where nine of 10 were listed on U.S. systems, NYSE Group executive Catherine Kinney said at the Securities Industry Association market structure conference. Kinney partly blamed Sarbanes-Oxley accounting rules and tort rules for the decline.
