New Verizon Business fleet will ride to rescue networks

Companies that have lost access to vital communications links will be able to call on emergency vehicles from Verizon Business, which has outfitted its fleet with satellite links, IP-based phones and laptop Ethernet access, the carrier said. The new Emergency Response Communications Service will also carry 24 workstations as well as local, long-distance and fax services.
