Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal apologized for misrepresenting his military service record, including implying he had served in Vietnam. The flap has hurt Blumenthal's chances to secure the Democratic nomination in a race for the seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn. "I have made mistakes and I am sorry," he said in a statement e-mailed to The Hartford Courant by a campaign aide Sunday night.
