Climate-change spending on the rise at global companies, survey says

Seventy percent of the world's largest companies intend to boost spending on programs meant to mitigate the effects of climate change, according to a report by Ernst & Young. Almost 50% of executives polled at 300 companies in 16 countries voiced their intention to invest at least 0.5% of their revenue in steps such as energy efficiency, the report added.
