Consumer groups want alcohol nutrition content on labels

A coalition of consumer groups wants the beverage industry to use a standardized format and supply the calorie and nutrition contents of alcoholic beverages on labels. A Boston University professor said that excess calories from alcoholic beverages that come on top of regular daily calories will be stored as fat.
