Hawaii's congressman-elect has mixed positions on LGBT issues

Republican Honolulu City Council member Charles Djou, who won a special election this weekend to fill a vacant U.S. House seat, says he supports repeal of the military's ban on openly gay troops but opposes civil unions or marriage rights for same-sex couples and will not vote to repeal the federal Defense of Marriage Act, according to this article. Djou was endorsed by the Log Cabin Republicans and GOProud.
