NIH proposes tighter conflict-of-interest disclosure rules

The National Institutes of Health is proposing to reduce the reporting threshold for financial conflict of interest from $10,000 to $5,000. NIH would take responsibility for reporting conflicts of interest, but institutions would have to disclose on publicly accessible websites financial conflicts of interest involving faculty.
