Nokia and Yahoo! on Monday detailed their new alliance under which the companies will team up on e-mail, chat and navigation services. The world's largest cell phone maker is seeking to raise its North American profile, while Yahoo! hopes to pursue greater mobile penetration, particularly in emerging markets. Yahoo! also disclosed its acquisition of Koprol, a location-based-services company in Indonesia that industry observers compare to U.S. LBS provider Foursquare.
