Obama administration seeks dismissal of Va. suit over health reform

Attorneys representing HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius filed a brief in U.S. District Court that seeks the dismissal of a lawsuit filed by the state of Virginia against the health reform law. The Virginia lawsuit is premature because the overhaul does not take effect until 2014 and states have no standing to sue because the health insurance mandate affects individuals and not the state, federal attorneys argued.
