Some California restaurants leave out meat and dairy

Restaurants in California's Bay Area are creating flavorful and interesting food that is free of meat, eggs, dairy and other animal products in a bid to attract vegan customers. About 1% of eaters nationwide say they are vegan, a number that rises to 5% on the West Coast.
