3 states win federal funding for insurance exchanges

The CMS is providing Indiana, Rhode Island and Washington with a total of $35 million in funds to help them with efforts to build health insurance exchanges, including health IT updates. The exchanges, mandated by the Affordable Care Act, will allow for access and comparison of health insurance options, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said.
