Booklet helps prepare patients for colonoscopy

University of California, Los Angeles, and Veterans Affairs researchers used a patient survey to compile a booklet that provides tips on preparing patients for a colonoscopy. Using a control group, the researchers noted more than a 20% increase in those who showed up for a colonoscopy with good bowel preparation versus those who did not receive the booklet.
