CDC notes 10 significant strides in health care over a decade

The CDC identified 10 achievements in public health care in the last 10 years, including advances in maternal health, cancer prevention and smoke-free laws. "Americans are living longer, healthier and more productive lives than ever before," said CDC Director Thomas Frieden. "However, we can do much more to protect and promote health. Continued investments in prevention will help us and our children live even longer, healthier and more productive lives while bringing down health care costs."
