Chefs can have a big effect on nutrition awareness in public schools and can help lunch programs make healthy menu changes that still appeal to student tastes, says assistant White House chef Sam Kass. He was among the chefs at a "Healthy Flavors, Healthy Kids" summit in San Antonio that looked at ways to improve child nutrition to fight obesity.
