Florida county to speed up runway construction project

Officials in Florida's Broward County voted to speed up runway construction at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport following complaints from nearby residents. The construction has caused air traffic to be rerouted over neighborhoods that are unaccustomed to jet noise. Shortening the project by 13 days will cost an additional $300,000.
