Health navigators increase colon cancer screening rates

People who had a health care navigator were more likely to get a colonoscopy or fecal occult blood test to screen for colorectal cancer, Boston Medical Center researchers reported in the Archives of Internal Medicine. Data showed navigators were particularly helpful to blacks and people whose primary language was not English.
