MIT forms electronic device center with Analog Devices, GE

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has teamed up with Analog Devices and GE's Global Research unit to set up a center that will focus on the development of new electronic systems that would better link patients to clinicians and help cut health care costs. The Medical Electronic Device Realization Center will develop portable, less-invasive devices that can monitor patients' heart rate and other vital signs, among other technologies.
